The overall mission of the Louisiana National Guard Museums, both locations, is simple. We aim to collect, preserve and interpret the history of both the Louisiana National Guard and Maneuvers Exercise of WWII. The preservation our state’s history through the lenses of the Louisiana National Guard’s legacy gives life and purpose to the Louisiana National Guard Museums.

The Mission of the Louisiana National Guard Museums – Camp Beauregard location is to educate the public and service members on the significant role that central Louisiana played in our Nation’s Military History.

The Vision of the Louisiana National Guard Museums – Camp Beauregard location is to endeavor to become the principal center of excellence for the education, preservation and research for central Louisiana’s Military History.

The Goals of the Louisiana National Guard Museums – Camp Beauregard location are to preserve, inspire, advance, and utilize the history of the local camps, which set a precedent for the success of the Louisiana Maneuvers and continues to facilitate training to this day and for future generations to come.

The Mission of the Louisiana National Guard Museums – Jackson Barracks location is to educate the public on the sacrifices, contributions and heritage of the state’s citizen soldiers and airmen throughout the history of Louisiana.

The Vision of the Louisiana National Guard Museums – Jackson Barrack location is to endeavor to become the principal center of excellence for the education, preservation and research of the Louisiana Military and National Guard’s History.
